Red Bull Illume is the world’s greatest adventure and action sports imagery contest. It showcases the most creative and captivating images on the planet, while illuminating the passion, lifestyle and culture behind the photographers that shoot them. To be crowned overall winner of Red Bull Illume is considered the highest honor among adventure and action sports photographers. Previous overall winners include Fred Mortagne, Chris Burkard, Lorenz Holder, Ben Thouard, Will Saunders and Krystle Wright. 

The Image Quest 2023 was the seventh edition of the contest bringing together the amazing work of photographers and content creators from around the world. The winning images were selected blind by an international judging panel of 52 editors, photographers and experts with Australian photographer Krystle Wright taking the title as the overall winner. Following the Winner Award Ceremony in Sölden, Austria the images tour the globe as a unique exhibit tour until the end of 2024.

The exhibition in Haus der Fotografie Olten showcases the 50 finalists including the winners from Red Bull Illume Image Quest 2023 on 2x2m lightboxes, giving the visitors a unique viewing experience and the photographers an unprecedented level of exposure.
